Boeing 737 style throttle knobs- These have been made to look like the real thing, they are ideal if you are building your throttle, if you want a spare set or if you want to replace your existing set. I know some of you guy’s out there are finding it financially hard to build or start building your Sims, and that includes me too! We are all cash poor and time poor. There have been a few fellow builders who have asked me to make them some of my Boeing 737 style throttle handles, to which I replied “ make them yourself to keep the cost down”. Then I was asked how much they would cost to make as opposed to how much time it would take to build them yourself and what if you can’t make the yourself. This is a very interesting point especially if we want the overall look to be accurate and we want to keep the cost down.
The answer to the above question is about £25.00 Sterling plus postage, providing that you paint the engraved letters. I have a small article on colourfill engraving on this site, I will go into more detail on this method, or you can just paint them by hand it up to you. There aren’t that many of us out there building throttles or buying throttles, about 30 I estimate. Of course some of you will want to buy a spare set and that’s fine , you may as well order some at this price, I’m sure that I can cope with this amount but they do need to be cheap otherwise you may as well go and buy a real throttle. And I would like us all to achieve a Boeing 737 Throttle at the £200.00 mark.
